What we do.

  
This fantastic opportunity will be based at our Bakkavor Spalding site, which employs over 1,470 people across 3 manufacturing facilities & 1 Distribution Centre. We specialise in making hand crafted sandwich wraps, salads, dips, soups & sauces and mayonnaise.

 

About the role.

 

We are looking for a Site Services Section Leader  to support the day-to-day operations within our Site Services function. This role involves managing key administrative tasks, maintaining safety and GMP standards, and ensuring compliance with service levels and legislation. Responsibilities also include coordination with external waste contractors and suppliers, as well as providing cover for the laundry operative when required, including system updates on Protean.



Role Accountabilities: 

 

  • To ensure a safe working environment for all employees in their area by supporting and enforcing standards as set out in the Group H&S policy
  • Manage the performance and attendance of the team
  • Manage the appearance of the site, ensuring gardens, pathways & factory perimeters are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and weed levels are controlled
  • Place orders & PO with suppliers, where necessary generate invoices for rebates
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Site Services team, including document filing, mail handling, KPI reporting, and supporting the financial month-end process in line with internal and external audit requirements.

 

About You.

 

  • Excellent computer skills – particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word, with strong keyboard proficiency
  • Confidence in communicating and dealing with people at all levels of the organisation
  • Strong communication skills – verbal, written, and active listening
  • Confident and professional approach to tasks and responsibilities
  • Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines through self-motivation
  • Proactive in liaising with management at all levels
