About the role.
A fantastic opportunity for a hands-on Learning Experience Designer to join the Design Team and drive the conversation from training to learning at Bakkavor.
In this busy and exciting role, you will be responsible for designing and developing impactful high quality ILT, blended and digital learning experiences and content. You will utilise technologies such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, Vyond, Camtasia to bring learning to life.
Based remotely, you will agree the design and develop briefs virtually via Microsoft Teams with a range of stakeholders including Senior Leaders. Operations, Subject Matter Experts and Project Managers. Collaboration is key as your work as your work will take place across a large complex cross sector organisation.
We are looking for someone who brings a creative flair, technical expertise, and a collaborative mindset to deliver innovative, high-quality learning experiences.
Role Accountabilities
- Taking a project through a life cycle - from scope through to evaluation, demonstrating strong consultancy questioning and solid human-centred learning design thinking, to make recommendations and approaches that will work in the real world. Strong and confident stakeholder management skills will be required.
- Demonstrating latest thinking in design methodologies and working in close collaboration with other design experts within the Design Team to harness creative thinking and pushing boundaries of what is possible.
- Designing (including instructional design), developing and maintaining engaging learning experiences that drive core and operational effectiveness. From ILT and VILT packages to on-the-job coaching guides, job aides, learner handbooks, TTT programmes, and digital learning, you’ll turn complex ideas into clear, compelling content. You’ll have a knack for writing copy that hooks attention and sticks, and designing workshops that spark energy, build skills, and achieve real results.
- Develop and hold pilots of new learning packages to make sure they are meeting the learning need.
- Liaising with the Systems and Performance Team where technology infrastructure is required and agreeing testing schedules for new and upgraded products.
- Liaising with Group H&S and Group Technical Teams to manage incorporation of any legally binding compliance requirements into existing training packages.
- Interfacing with other teams in Learning to check designs are of optimum relevance to meet the learning needs.
- Seeking opportunities to develop your own skills and proactively coaching others.
- Applying a logical, analytical approach with good attention to detail and ensuring that all solutions are tested on the learning management platform.
- Good time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines, to multitask across various projects and works well under pressure.
- Measured on impact and outcome of learning packages.
About You
Ideally, you will have a real flair for developing cross functional relationships and demonstrable industry experience in learning consultancy, designing learning experiences and content across a wide-ranging subject area.
An FMCG or food manufacturing background is not essential, however you will need to be ready for the challenge of working in this fast-paced ever-changing industry.
