Salary: £36,750 - £38,774 (Dependant on Experience)
Working Days: Monday - Friday
Working Hours: 08.30 – 17.00

Bakkavor Meals based in Wigan, specialises in making chilled ready meals, food to go salads and vegetable accompaniments and employs over 1,000 people. It is part of the Bakkavor Meals sector which has eight factories in the UK.

The Role:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Utilities Engineer to ensure the cost effective operation and maintenance of site utilities; identifying and delivering improvement opportunities as appropriate across site

Must Have:

To be considered for the role you must have the following:

• A working knowledge and experience of site services – steam, ammonia, effluent treatment plants, compressed air, refrigeration, water, H&V, statutory
• A recognised electrical and / or mechanical qualifications
• An understanding of computer controlled equipment
• Competent electrical / electronic / mechanical fault finding and analysis skills
• An ability to work to specific deadlines
• Flexible working attitude to ensure required work levels are achieved
• Excellent communication and training skills

The following would also be preferred, however not essential:

• Multi skilled with PLC programming experience
• Ideally BOAS trained, but training will be provided for the right candidate
