Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time
Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday (8.30am – 5pm)

Bakkavor Meals, based in Wigan, specialises in making chilled ready meals, food to go salads and vegetable accompaniments and employs over 1,000 people. It is part of the Bakkavor Meals sector which has eight factories in the UK.

The Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join our engineering team, taking responsibility for general administrative duties. In this busy, exciting, and hands-on role, you will be accountable for:

• Carrying out assistant duties within the engineering department, as required.
• Carry out contractor control duties including updating insurances, filing risk assessments and inductions. Update contractor annual declarations of health and safety.
• Create ‘bill of materials’ on assets on the site maintenance system.
• Update health and safety systems relating to engineering, e.g., safety data sheets.
• Update asset systems with machinery manuals including creating electronic copies of all operational and maintenance manauals.

About you
Ideally, you will have previous administration experience and will have good knowledge of Microsoft Office products, a flexible working attitude and great attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, strong team-working, and the ability to work unsupervised in a pressurised environment - will all be key to this role. Previous purchasing/buying skills, with stock control experience would also be highly desirable.
