Location: Spalding, Lincolnshire, UK – Hybrid (open to flexibility)
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum plus 20% bonus, plus £8,400 car allowance, pension, family healthcare.
Hours/Shift pattern: Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours

About this role.

We’re seeking a dynamic individual to join our team, reporting directly to the Domain Lead. You’ll manage one direct report and be part of a team of three Project Leads in the Manufacturing and Technical Domain. Our department's mission is to liaise with central and site engineering functions, supporting the IT side of factory systems including HMI, SCADA, auto coding, and more. You will be accountable for operational technology, overseeing PCs, PLCs, machinery, and our factory infrastructure.

Key role responsibilities.

  • Design and implement effective IT application and integration solutions meeting requirements and standards.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, building and maintaining relationships with IT leaders and business executives.
  • Develop a clear understanding of business needs and ensure cost-effective IT service delivery.
  • Respond with agility to changing business priorities.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and partners, managing relationships and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Evaluate proposals and oversee vendor performance.
  • Work with third-party solutions providers and developers for technical configuration/customisation.
  • Ensure solutions meet customer needs and provide a great user experience.
  • Work with support organization to troubleshoot incidents and escalations, providing resolution to break-fix issues.
  • Resolve complex issues and manage user relationships and delivery.
  • Proactively reduce support work volume by identifying and improving common/recurring issues.
  • Engage with business units, IT teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and gather feedback.
  • Manage expectations throughout the delivery cycle and communicate progress effectively.
  • Work with IT senior leadership on service portfolio and governance to prioritise resources.
  • Leverage influencing and negotiation skills to enable cost-effective and innovative shared solutions for business goals.


About you.
As a Product Lead, your focus will be to deliver projects and develop strategies whilst handling a balanced mix of hands-on and hands-off responsibilities. You’ll take ownership of products and drive innovation whilst liaising with business sponsors, engineering, and operational technology teams. We need your expertise to develop short-term and long-term strategies with the Domain Lead and really truly take ownership of various areas within the domain.

  • Extensive experience in major IT-enabled change delivery
  • Strong knowledge and skills in core business processes and operations
  • Understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban project management methodologies
  • Proven team leadership and project delivery team capabilities
  • Inspirational leadership with a "Thinking Big" mindset
  • Skilled in influencing and ‘taking people with you’
  • Ability to drive high-quality delivery at a fast pace
  • Experience working with 3rd parties and system integrators
  • Good understanding of the design, build, test, and deploy stages of major IT project delivery
  • Excellent relationship management, strong influencing, and communication skills
