Salary: £23,500 - £24,000 per annum

Days / Hours of work: Monday-Friday, 07.30-16.00 (1 in 3 weekends on a rotational basis, 07.00 - 12.00, with a day off in Lieu. )

About the role.
This fantastic opportunity will be based at our Bakkavor Spalding site, which employs over 1,470 people across 3 manufacturing facilities & 1 Distribution Centre. We specialise in making hand crafted sandwich wraps, salads, dips, soups & sauces and mayonnaise.


We have an exciting new role with the Logistics and administration team for a Logistics Administrator.

 

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the affective administration of orders and claims within the warehouse, liaising with a variety of internal and external parties, including hauliers, and ensure high levels of service are maintained throughout.

 

Working closely within an administration team of 4, you will work to provide office support in all distribution administrative activities across our Spalding site.


Role Accountabilities: 

 

  • Ensure all claims are processed and recorded effectively and accurately, using designated systems, within the time constraints set out by the business.
  • Ensure accuracy of all orders placed on Protean and other in house systems, and flag any anomalies to a senior manager.
  • To write reports and provide statistical information as required by the business to maintain necessary KPi’s.
  • To liaise with Internal/External contacts, building good relationships and providing effective administrative support.
  • Input Haulier figures onto a bespoke system so that all relevant figures required for transportation can be provided to distribution centres.
  • Ensure all Claims are Netted off accurately and on a consistent basis.
  • Record and process debit notes as and when received.
  • Carry out weekly checks on stock levels of pallets and stationary, and manage the ordering of these as deemed necessary by the business.

 

About you. 

  • A strong administrative background
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to multi-task, manage own time, work under own initiative and manage and prioritise workloads successfully
  • Strong PC skills, familiar with Microsoft Office packages – warehouse management systems would also be an advantage.
  • Logical and adaptive problem solver and able to apply common sense to tasks where required
  • Able to demonstrate ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and deliver results
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in approach
  • Be process driven
  • Good communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team and with people at different levels
  • A self-starter who is inquisitive and driven to improve, and comfortable to ask questions when required
  • Flexible to assist with any further adhoc requests, and flexibility to work as and when operations require.
