Quality Assurance Supervisor
Location: Devizes, Wiltshire
Contract: 12 Months FTC
Salary: Up to £32k per annum dependent on skill/experience

Hours/Shift pattern: 4 days on 4 days off, 6am-6pm

We’re the market leader in the UK fresh prepared food industry - supplying meals, salads, desserts, pizza and bread to leading grocery retailers including Tesco, M&S, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose.
 

About this role.
We’re looking for a meticulous and dedicated Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team. As a key player in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the QA team and maintaining our reputation for excellence. Your main duties will include:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and support the Quality Assurance team, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure a high level of competency and morale.
  • Quality Control: Oversee daily quality control operations, including inspections, testing, and audits to ensure all products meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance product quality and operational efficiency. Collaborate with other departments to resolve quality issues and implement best practices.
  • Customer Focus: Handle customer complaints and inquiries related to product quality. Investigate issues, develop corrective actions, and communicate solutions effectively to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse quality data and trends to identify areas for improvement. Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Audit Preparation: Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and processes are in place.
     

About you.

  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within the food industry, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Education: Degree in Food Science/Microbiology or a related field is advantageous.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and communication abilities.
  • Passion: A genuine passion for quality and continuous improvement.
