Job Description 

This position is responsible for the quality and safety of the products, as well as adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices. The QC temp check tech will provide training and direction to the production team to obtain quality food products under a safe environment. The QC temp check tech ensures compliances of products with cooking and cooling standards. The QC temp check tech will check and monitor product cooking and cooling temperature and dwell times and takes action to correct food safety issues as they arise. The QC temp check tech will place non-compliance product on hold, complete CCP Deviation reports and communicate those issues to QA Lead/QA Manager for final resolution. Will maintain WIP cooler organized and clean, product racks properly wrapped and organized. This position reports to the Quality Assurance Lead.



The Associate should have a high school diploma and/or minimum two years’ related experience and/or training. Equivalent combination of education or experience, evaluated by senior management. Preferably the Production QC associate should have experience working on industry regulated by FDA and/or USDA. Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions and communicate orally. Functional literacy and oral communication skills in English for safety and following job specific instructions. Ability to perform unit measures, conversion calculations and other mathematical calculations reasonably necessary to satisfactorily perform job duties. 


Work Environment 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. 

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds throughout the required shift hours.
