What we do.

This particular role is at our Bakkavor Meals site in Bourne who specialise in preparing fruit, dressed salads, noodles and stir fry.  They employ over 1,200 people and are only 16 miles from Peterborough and 12 miles from Spalding.

About the role.

In this demanding and integrated role, you will analyse, understand and support improvements to specific areas of the factory. You will often be working in the factory with operational managers, OPEX colleagues and the wider operations team to influence decision making and drive efficiencies.  You will be involved in the full product lifecycle from inception to production.

Accountabilities

• Collaborating with the operations team to understand factory performance and support decision making. 
• Translating complex financial data into actionable business insights.
• Tracking any new operational initiatives, supporting the justification of investment where required and measuring returns post investment or post launch.
• Acting as the financial specialist for costings to ensure they are understandable, reflect reality and have appropriate comparable. 
• Producing ad hoc reporting related to factory performance.
• Working with the relevant teams to deliver robust operational variance forecasts.
• Stepping up to cover the senior finance business partner and supporting the finance function.

What you will need

Ideally you will have previous experience of a similar role within a fast-paced food manufacturing or FMCG environment. You’ll have experience of factory performance, labour efficiencies, material variance, standard costings, experience working with large data-sets, P&L and interpreting data into insights.  

You will be qualified or working towards relevant qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA or equivalent and possess the ability to manage large volumes of data into usable formats.

Excellent communication, analytical, customer service and Excel skills will be key.
