Our Meals site in Boston (Old Leake) employs over 700 people and specialises in making chilled Italian ready meals for a dedicated customer. It is part of the Bakkavor Meals sector which has eight factories in the UK.

Full Time, Permanent, and Weekly paid.

Location: Laburnum Villa, Old Leake, Boston PE22 9PN

Shifts:

3,2,2,3 continental shift pattern (3 on 2 off, 2 on, 3 off).

Days – 06:00 – 18:00

Nights – 18:00 – 06:00

Pay:

We have both Base Operative and Skilled roles available.

To be considered for a Skilled role, you must have industrial cleaning experience.

Base Operative - £11.44 - £12.71 depending on hours/experience

Skilled Operative - £11.70 - £12.96 depending on hours/experience

In this busy and interesting role, you will work as part of the hygiene team to clean production machinery and all areas of the factory from ceiling to floor, ensuring cleaning procedures, COSHH regulations and H & S requirements are followed and met. You will be hands-on as part of the team working alongside other team members using hoses, hose guns, chemical applicators, scouring pads, brushes etc. You will be required to wear PPE in the factory to keep you dry and protect you from chemicals. You will be required to dismantle some of the equipment in preparation for cleaning and rebuilding once cleaned.  

Job Accountabilities:

• Work independently and within a team
• Follow cleaning procedures and be responsible for the quality of your own work
• Work with chemicals, operate cleaning equipment and other cleaning materials
• Follow Safe working practices and Health & Safety responsibilities

About You:

• Ideally you will have hygiene experience in a manufacturing environment. 
• Be enthusiastic and conscientious
• Be physically fit
• Required to maintain a safe working environment and follow safe working practices in accordance with company procedures and H & S responsibilities
• Be comfortable wearing personal protective equipment and working in a factory environment with chemicals and cleaning equipment.
• Willing and able to work in a cold and wet environment
• You will be provided with appropriate PPE and full training to complete your role.
