This particular role is at our Bakkavor Bread site based in Barton-upon-Humber, close to the Humber Bridge. This factory specialises in making chilled speciality baguettes at high volume and employs over 160 people. The site is located 14 miles from Hull, 16 miles from Scunthorpe and 24 miles from Grimsby.
The role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Technologist to join our vibrant and expanding Technical team at our Bakkavor Barton Bread.
To support the administrative aspect of the Technical Department taking responsibility for the day to day management and maintenance of some or all of the following; QMS, HACCP, TACCP, VACCP, legislation, specifications, technical reports, contaminants & non-conformance logs, complaints, microbiological & nutritional surveillance, pest control coordination and visit compliance.
Accountabilities
- To ensure effective customer communication and contribute to customer audits and visits.
- To conduct audits as part of the internal QMS. To trend actions and non-conformances and to work with the technical management team on outstanding actions.
- To maintain the Quality Systems for the business unit / site. This will include internal audits, industry legislation and customer requirements.
- To support the allergen management system by updating and maintaining the allergen risk assessments with the introduction of new ingredients and products.
- Work with the team to ensure all changes associated with launches, delists and promo activities are implemented to support the operation teams and achieves the correct deadlines.
About you
- Basic knowledge and understanding of using customer online systems would be beneficial.
- Ideally you will have previous experience of a similar role within a fast paced FMCG or food manufacturing environment.
- Competence to analyse information and accurately record / report in a clear and competent manner, will be key – as will excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
