We’re the market leader in the UK fresh prepared food industry - supplying meals, salads, desserts, pizza and bread to leading grocery retailers including Tesco, M&S, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose.

 

About this role.

Due to internal promotion, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced BizTalk / AIS developer to join our development team responsible for the design, development and support of critical integration software solutions and the associated key operational systems and processes.

 

In this busy and exciting role, you’ll work with product specialists, developer colleagues (on and offshore) and 3rd party organisations to produce high quality applications that transform our organisation and help us continue to meet the needs of our internal and external customers.

 

We’re midway through a program of work to transform our system landscape, implementing best in class systems and modernising key platforms - integration being one of these. 

 

We currently use Biztalk (2013 R2 and 2020) as our sole integration platform, however we’re evolving towards a blended solution with AIS later this year. 

 

Integration is absolutely key to our business and we’re looking for a driven, hard-working and skilled developer to join our team. 

 

Key role responsibilities.

 

  • Development - Responsible for the creation of solutions based on a functional and technical specification
  • Analysis & Documentation – Undertake estimation and analysis work to draw up quotes or technical specification documents
  • Software Development Skills - Solutions will require you to maintain a broad range of software development knowledge / skills, including quality management and testing
  • Software Standards Adherence – Responsible for developing solutions against the defined standard
  • Application Lifecycle Management – Responsible for all developed solutions being administered within a source / version control solution
  • Working Practice - Promote and adhere to the current working practices that are being used whilst challenging and reviewing the standards to achieve continual improvement
  • Support - Undertake support responsibilities ensuring solutions are provided in an efficient and effective manner
  • Quality & Release – Responsible for the delivery of solutions, with associated quality and release management due diligence

 

About you.

Ideally, you’ll have previous experience within a similar role and the following knowledge/skills

 

  • Biztalk Server 2013R2 and above
  • Installation and configuration
  • Performance Optimisation
  • Design and develop Orchestrations, Maps (UI, XSLT), Schemas, BRE , Custom Pipeline
  • Configure Adaptors (WCF, FTP, SMTP etc)
  • BAM – Design activities and maintain BAM data
  • Debugging and Troubleshooting Biztalk Applications
  • Programming Language
  • C#, VB
  • .NET Framework
  • Database Management
  • SQL Server 2014 and above (T-SQL, Stored Procedures, SQL Agent jobs)
  • Design and optimisation
  • Webservices
  • SOAP and RESTful services
  • WCF
  • Messaging and Middleware
  • EDI (EDIFACT & TRADACOM)
  • MSMQ
  • DevOps
  • CI/CD using Azure DevOps or similar tools
