The Role
Bakkavor Meals London is looking to recruit a Materials Planner to ensure materials are available to meet demand, through effective ordering and inventory control processes, liaising with a variety of internal and external parties, including suppliers and hauliers, to ensure high levels of service are maintained both efficiently and cost effectively.
This incorporates the following responsibilities: -
- Placing weekly call offs
- Reviewing what’s been delivered Vs expected, then highlighting any issues
- Sending weekly forecasts
- Placing production orders
- Liaise with Procurement on any price discrepancies & also notify them of any supply issues
- Add new resources to the stock board & remove old resource with zero stock
- Notify all concerned when new resources due in
- Providing requested info’ on stock levels to relevant people/departments
- Be aware of any upcoming delists &/or launches. Order accordingly
- Request relevant Bill of Material amends
- Investigate relevant invoice queries
- Liaise with other departments, particularly Planning & Stores on relevant matters
- Support all members & functions of the Materials Planning Team as required

- To be numerate and detailed.
- The ability to solve problems.
- To manage own time effectively.
- To have competent Excel and Word skills
