Position Summary

A Commercial Business Analyst plays a crucial role in analyzing data, identifying trends, and providing insights and regular reporting to help optimize Commercial strategies and improve business performance. As a Commercial Business Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide actionable insights that support decision-making processes within the Commercial department and across the organization. Your role will involve collaborating with the Commercial team, product development, finance, operations, customers, and other stakeholders to identify growth opportunities, improve sales processes, and enhance overall business performance.

 

Key Accountabilities and Functional Responsibilities

Data Collection and Analysis:

  • and consolidate data from various sources, including CRM systems, performance reports, and market research.
  • data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that can provide valuable insights into sales performance and customer behavior.
  • reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate key performance metrics and facilitate data-driven decision-making (QLIK Sense knowledge essential)

Revenue Performance Monitoring:

  • key sales metrics and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to track performance against targets and objectives.
  • areas of improvement and opportunities for sales growth based on performance analysis.
  • regular reports and updates to sales management and other stakeholders on sales performance trends and outcomes.

 

Forecasting and Planning:

  • in the development of demand forecasts and projections based on historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors.
  • with sales teams and other departments to develop sales strategies and plans that align with business objectives.
  • in the development of sales quotas, targets, and incentive programs to motivate sales teams and drive performance.

 

Market Research and Competitive Analysis:

  • market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, customer preferences, and competitive threats.
  • insights and recommendations based on market analysis to support strategic decision-making and market positioning efforts.

 

Process Improvement and Optimization:

  • inefficiencies and bottlenecks in sales processes and workflows.
  • closely with sales operations and IT teams to implement process improvements and automation solutions.

Customer Engagement:

  • with customer onboarding, and customer item setup.

Minimum Requirements

  • degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • experience in sales analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role.
  • in data analysis tools and software, such as Qlik Sense, Microsoft Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and SysPro (ERP).
  • analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable insights.
  • communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
