We are seeking a skilled and passionate Change & Comms Deployment Manager for the Project. The individual will be a transformation professional, with a strong and demonstrable experience delivering large, multi-year, technology-enabled business critical transformations.
The Change & Comms Deployment Manager is overall responsible for managing critical change management interventions across our operations, covering stakeholder engagement, engagement tracking, impact assessments and the change management plan the intent of minimising business disruption and supporting the effective introduction of S4 Hana across the business to an engaged stakeholder group. Critically, this role will be heavily ‘on the ground’ in operational sites, to work directly with business stakeholders and change champions to drive confidence and adoption of the S4 solution. The role will also work directly with the Programme Director and Change and Comms lead on driving a positive culture through the Vision Programme team through events and other culture interventions.
As a dynamic, self-starter, the individual will have the ability to communicate with, and influence senior stakeholders, and build critical relationships in the business to foster high degrees of trust and collaboration.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead and coordinate all change management activities required to prepare operational sites for the deployment of SAP S/4HANA
- Develop and execute site-specific change and readiness plans aligned to the overall Project Vision approach
- Ensure business readiness activities are completed to agreed quality and timescales ahead of each deployment wave
- Identify and mitigate change risks that could impact operational performance or programme delivery
- Build strong relationships with factory leadership teams, operational managers, FSS, and key stakeholders across the business
- Act as the primary change partner to operational sites, ensuring leaders understand the programme vision, impacts, and required actions
- Facilitate effective engagement and secure buy-in from stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Escalate stakeholder concerns and resistance appropriately and proactively manage resolution
- Lead the assessment and validation of business impacts arising from S/4HANA deployment across operational functions
- Translate technical and process changes into practical implications for colleagues and operational teams.
- Ensure impacts are understood, documented, and incorporated into deployment, communications, training, and readiness plans
- Develop and deliver clear, targeted communication plans that build understanding, confidence, and commitment to change
- Ensure communication materials are relevant, practical, and tailored to operational audiences
- Deliver site engagement events, leadership briefings, workshops, and change interventions to reinforce programme messaging and adoption
- Establish and manage effective site-based Change Champion and Super User networks
- Equip champions with the information, tools, and support required to advocate for the change locally
- Monitor network effectiveness and drive continuous engagement throughout deployment and stabilisation
- Drive user adoption and behavioural change to ensure successful embedding of new processes and ways of working
- Monitor adoption indicators, stakeholder sentiment, and readiness metrics, taking corrective action where required
- Support operational teams through go-live and hypercare periods to ensure successful transition into business-as-usual
- Work closely with the Programme Director, Change & Communications Lead, Training Lead, Functional Leads, and Deployment teams to ensure integrated delivery of change activities
- Contribute to the development of a positive, collaborative culture across Project Vision through events, engagement initiatives, and role modelling programme values
- Provide regular reporting on change progress, risks, readiness, and stakeholder engagement activities
What we’re looking for:
- Able to influence without formal authority (persuasive, consensus builder, good communicator)
- Experience of running change impact assessments and managing execution of change interventions
- Events experience
- Ability to shift culture through change interventions
- Excellent organisational skills, including attention to detail and ability to see the ‘big picture’
- Strong people management skills
- Experience of working in large scale transformation programmes underpinned by technology transformation would be preferred
- Experience of managing complex super user / change champion networks
- Previous experience of working to support an ERP implementation, specifically with S/4 HANA preferred
