About the role

We have several multi-skilled positions available across the factory and are looking for individuals who have previously worked in similar roles within a fast-paced production environment.

 

Multi-skilled Bakery Operative Responsible for the setup and operation of multiple sections in bakery and to maintain control of the area to the required specification, whilst adhering to all Food and Health & Safety policies and procedures.

 

Role Accountabilities:

  • Maintain a safe working environment in the area by supporting and enforcing standards as set out in the Group SHE policy.
  • Responsible for creating traceability / maintain KPI’s, CCP’s and must complete paperwork accurately and on time, escalating any out of specification challenges.
  • Adhere to set processes relating to the site Allergen and Vegan procedures if applicable.
  • If you trained and responsible for dismantling any parts of machinery you must ensure procedures are being followed to reassemble machines ensuring all nuts, bolts, safety guards etc are in place and secured.
  • Responsible for following the plan: this would include tasks such as monitoring the weight, flour dusting, temperature, creating traceability codes, proving time and dough return/waste dough, titration checks and metal checks.
  • Complete daily pre-start up and any related checks.

 

Multi-skilled Factory Hygiene Operative A multi-faceted role and largely autonomous that is responsible for the removal of waste, dismantling, cleaning and the reassembly of machinery, lines, and general equipment. This role is critical to the performance of the factory and once finished you will support manufacturing teams to operate key assembly & prep equipment on the production lines.

 

Role Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for COSHH related policies and procedures such as chemical controls / titration controls / adhering to standard operating and cleaning procedures.
  • Ensure all tasks are carried out according to the standard cleaning procedures in terms of GMP, food safety, presentation and housekeeping.
  • Ensure all relevant tasks are completed on time and escalate potential risks to your direct manager.
  • Responsible for signing off all machinery, lines and general equipment that has been cleaned.
  • Responsible for dismantling parts of machinery and ensuring procedures are followed to reassemble machines ensuring all nuts, bolts, safety guards etc are in place and secured.
  • Responsible for replenishing consumable stock in the factory.
  • Responsible for waste removal from all areas.
  • Complete paperwork accurately, clearly and on time and escalate any out of specification challenges.

 

Experience required:

  • Previous experience in a similar role in a food manufacturing environment
  • Ability to understand and undertake food safety qualification
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Able to apply attention to detail to ensure paperwork is completed accurately
  • A conscientious attitude
  • We require all applicants to have a basic understanding of English Literacy and Numeracy
