This role is based in Bourne at a site specialising in the preparation of fruit, leafy salads, and stir-fry mixes. The site employs over 1,200 people and is conveniently located just 16 miles from Peterborough and 12 miles from Spalding. 

What you’ll be doing

In this busy and exciting role, you will work as part of a team managing the materials supply chain to ensure continuity of supply in a fast‑paced, high‑demand environment. You will coordinate with multiple departments, monitor stock levels and support the planning and delivery of materials to meet production needs.

Role Accountabilities

• Contribute to creating and maintaining a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety policies
• Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operational performance
• Produce, interpret and act upon KPIs to support continuous improvement within the Materials team
• Ensure materials are available and delivered on time to meet production schedules
• Work collaboratively across the wider Supply Chain team to develop improved ways of working
• Build strong relationships across functions and locations, including Commercial, Process, Technical, site stores and De‑Box areas
• Develop collaborative supplier relationships and support continuous improvement of ways of working
• Manage stock days and stock value in line with agreed strategies, driving improvements across raw materials, packaging and crates
• Identify and implement enhancements to customer service, control systems and supply chain processes

What we’re looking for

• Experience in supply chain or materials planning within a fast‑paced manufacturing or FMCG environment
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, able to interpret data and support costings and performance tracking
• Confident user of systems and software, able to translate data into actionable improvements
• Highly organised, able to follow processes accurately while managing multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills, able to influence and support colleagues and external partners
• Proactive approach to identifying issues and improving supply chain processes
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a wider team
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with the confidence to challenge and improve cross‑functional practices
• Positive, collaborative approach supporting effective supplier and stakeholder engagement
