Line Leader Days or Evening Shift

Full Time, Permanent, and Weekly paid on Fridays.

Shift/Pay:

Day Shift 6am-4pm, 4 on 2 off: £13.45 per hour

Evening Shift 4pm-2am, 5 on 2 off: £ 14.40 per hour

*We are pleased to be able to offer a FREE evening shift bus service to and from our Tilmanstone site from Folkestone and Dover route.

For evening shifts, busses leave daily from Margate Train Station at 14:30, or from Matalan Car Park, Ashford at 14.30 with return, to Bakkavor Salads Tilmanstone, Kent.

 More detailed information about bus routes can be provided upon application.

In our Tilmanstone Salads site we produce first class Salad’s products including leafy salad bags, leafy salad bowls, takeaway salad meals, prepared vegetables & side dishes for one of our most prestigious customers in our state-of-the-art factory.

The Role:

The Production and Leadership team is vital to our business. Not everything can be done by machinery and that’s where YOU come in! As our business’ key selling point is handcrafted products it is essential that we have hard working committed people working within our team.

The typical day of a Line Leader involves working in a small team to all achieve a common goal working closely with the Team Leaders and the Production team to achieve the best we can and supply the customer with what the standard of product they require.

We manufacture lots of different products within the business; we make over a diverse range of products so there is lots of variety.

As a Line Leader you will be responsible for leading a line of production operatives and overseeing the operation of machines, production lines, production areas, ensuring the production lines are operating efficiently.

You must cooperate with the business in their objective to positively impact the environment and follow established environmental procedures when performing tasks and using equipment and materials.

You will be a leader, team player, resilient and will be able to adapt to a factory environment as it can be busy, pressured, cold and wet. Your safety is our priority and to ensure this we will provide you with training and the relevant personal protective equipment.

There is a real chance of progression within the business for a self-driven individual or for the people not so ambitious it provides a base and job security for people happy to stay on the line.
