As a member of the senior IT Team, you will contribute to the development and execution of the enterprise-wide IT strategy and ensures its alignment with the enterprise's business strategy and the delivery of capabilities required to achieve business success.

To deliver on our ambition, the Senior Product Manager – SAP, will be accountable for leading, developing and driving forward the overall product strategy for Bakkavor’s SAP S4/HANA technology platform, that will act as the foundation to our digital transformation at a global level over the next decade. As a technology leader & expert, you will provide strategic and technical consultancy/guidance and advice to Global Product Owners setting both the Platform Strategy (SAP S4/HANA) and design.   

You will partner with Bakkavor Technology Colleagues & System Integrators to provide seamless product availability. As part of the application transformation team, you will build an environment that challenges the status quo and consistently seek opportunities to re-engineer processes and re-architect solutions to deliver high quality, innovative, fully architected & strategic solutions. This will be accomplished through passionate situational leadership, inspiration, mentoring and exceptional management of a small team of IT professionals executing key initiatives through the full project management lifecycle.   

You will play a key role in leading solutions within the organisations Vision Programme. You will be involved in leading the design/delivery activities of the implementation through to deployment. 

This role is a core SAP S4/HANA transformation lead role in the areas of Supply Chain Management and Logistics with a tight integration to Purchase to Pay and Order to cash process.   

The successful candidate will have very strong stakeholder facing skills and a proven track record in a similar role ideally working within a fast-paced SAP S4/HANA environment. 

The successful candidate will use their expertise and skills in SAP S4/HANA design, development, integration, testing and deployment to help deploy a long-term global template. 

As a key member of the Vison Programme team, you will ensure the design and realisation of functional solutions are fit for purpose and delivered against stated business requirements. 

Role Accountabilities  

Collaborate with executive stakeholders to define and articulate the vision and strategy for application transformation, aligning it with the overall business objectives.  

Acts as a trusted advisor who builds and maintains relationships with other IT leaders and business executives to develop a clear understanding of business needs; ensures cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs and can respond with agility to changing business priorities.  

Using specialist SAP S/4HANA and business process knowledge, define & govern project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements. Develop and implement project plans, ensuring successful execution and timely delivery of application transformation initiatives.  

Ability to perform the role of SAP S/4HA Senior Product Manager on large SAP Implementations including the facilitation of workshops and requirement gathering sessions.  

Be able to design and implement best practice SAP S/4HANA solutions appropriate to requirements and standards. 

Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to application transformation. Assess and recommend suitable tools, frameworks, and methodologies to drive efficiency, scalability, and maintainability of applications.  

Maintains currency on new technologies and platforms and provides direction on what emerging technologies should be assimilated, integrated, and introduced within Bakkavor to ensure IT capabilities respond to the needs of the enterprise's business strategy.  

Collaborate with external vendors and partners, managing relationships and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and solutions. Evaluate proposals and oversee vendor performance.  

Work with third party solutions providers, developers and to conduct technical configuration/customization of solutions that meet our customers’ needs and provides a great user experience.  

Develop and implement change management strategies to facilitate the adoption of new technologies and processes. Ensure smooth transition and user acceptance of transformed applications.  

Identify potential risks and issues related to application transformation initiatives. Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize disruption to business operations.  

Manage change activity, including Software as a Service delivered change, into the production service in a compliant and efficient manner.  

Ensure data passing from upstream systems or providers (e.g. S4/HANA) or to downstream systems (e.g. Manhattan) through integrations is efficient, accurate and secure. This also includes building reporting capabilities that support both operational reporting as well as analytic reporting.  

Work with support organization to trouble shoot incidents and escalations providing resolution to break-fix issues. Demonstrate an ability to resolve complex issues, manage user relationships and delivery. Proactively seek ways to reduce the volume of support work, identifying common/recurring issues, and proposing improvements  

Engage with business units, IT teams, and other stakeholders to understand their requirements, gather feedback, and manage expectations throughout the transformation process. Communicate progress, benefits, and impacts effectively to various audiences.  

Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the success of SAP usage. Analyse data and insights to identify areas for continuous improvement and optimize the overall application landscape.  

Works with the IT senior leadership team on the service portfolio and governance required to prioritise resources.  

Leverages influencing and negotiation skills across IT and the enterprise to enable cost-effective and innovative shared solutions in achievement of business goals.     

About you  

You will have experience in leading solution strategy and design for the Supply Chain Management area, with at least one SAP S4/HANA implementation successfully completed. 

Your experience will include having a depth of consulting or functional experience of SAP S4/HANA supply chain business processes.
