Job Purpose:  

To contribute to the site level delivery of the target Bakkavor learning experience at Bakkavor, ensuring that our employees are both compliant and provided with high quality professional learning interventions. The role holder must demonstrate strong competency across multiple functions in a demanding factory environment and exploit their passion for learning to engage and motivate employees through training. 

 

Qualification requirements:

L&D Qualification – CIPD L3 equivalent or prepared to study

 Role Accountabilities:

 

  • Holds responsibility for ensuring areas are fully compliant and adhering to the standards agreed by the business and its customers

 

  • Support LM with day-to-day responsibility for site/hub budget; raising purchase orders, ensuring budget tracking data is accurate and reflects spend, liaising with sites and LA’s to ensure maximum attendance

 

  • Support LM with Internal and external, planned and unannounced audits, and drive audit actions

 

 

  • Support the LM, acting as a liaison between the larger Talent functions and site management e.g. LDP, PDP, and Levy

 

  • Support LM’s with TNA/Gap analysis 

 

  • Support with management of TRF’s in collaboration with Stakeholders and design team  

 

  • Work directly with S&P and design team to ensure transactions are managed timely and effectively (tagging, movement of labour etc)

 

  • Support LM with day-to-day performance management of team; absence and performance escalation to LM as required

 

  • Contributes to an industry leading learning experience through the provision of compliance learning that instils confidence in our customers and delivering engaging learning that meets the development needs of Bakkavor site employees

 

  • Works with the Systems and Performance team to identify learning needs for - individual within a site and coordinates the delivery on these in line with the Learning plan and measured outcomes

 

  • Leverages strong interpersonal skills to deliver learning with enthusiasm and authority across all available channels onsite, including classroom, on-the-line and LMS

 

  • Provides ‘train the trainer’ learning for ‘buddies’ that provide on-the-job learning to drive consistency in the employee learning experience and ensure people are upskilled first time
  • Understands and conveys the criticality of compliance learning using knowledge of SOPs, CCPs and functional subject matters in order to assess peoples’ competency in these areas against target outcomes 

 

  • Builds strong relationships with all functions operating at site level to help gain a clear understanding of their learning needs and coordinate the delivery of training – this necessitates developing strong knowledge of demand patterns i.e. peak times, turnover, seasonality, employee profile, joiners

 

  • Feeds local knowledge into the Learning Manager to enable better cross-site visibility of learning needs and preserve consistency in the training delivery approach across the business 

 

  • Supports root cause analysis when an issue occurs so that the best solution can be identified at the appropriate scale without case by case fixes

 

  • Acts as the interface between Learning Associates and Hub/Learning Manager, supporting with team engagement, performance, and development 

 

  • Coaches and develops Learning Associates as identified by the Hub/Learning Manager
